Scream And Run Wiki

Mines chapter

Thomas

A Thomas the Tank Engine on spider legs. He is the game’s second monster, not an easter egg — the developers sell a game pass for the chance to play as him.

He is easier than the Cat

This is the consensus among players who have cleared both chapters, and the reason is specific rather than vague — “Thomas is way bigger. You can hear his music from way farther, and he doesn’t teleport on top of you.” Being loud and being unable to close distance instantly are both survivable. The Cat is neither.

You can be Thomas

In Hide And Seek one player is drawn as the monster each round, and the store sells passes that double your odds of being picked — one for the Cat, one for Thomas. There is no third pass, which is the cleanest confirmation that the game currently has exactly two monsters.

Free Roam goes further: the VIP pass grants :spawn Cat and :spawn Thomas, once per server, and a spawned monster sticks around for 90 seconds.

Still open

Official art for the Mines shows a player crouched behind a crate with both hands over their mouth and an E — HOLD BREATH prompt on screen, with Thomas coming up the rails. No player recording we have checked shows that prompt in game, and the official control list does not mention E. We are logging it as art that may be ahead of the build rather than a mechanic you can use tonight.
